This area focuses on management practices that influence the organizational culture, work processes, staff roles and responsibilities, and valued behaviors as they relate to abnormal situations. Representative projects include:

  • Operator of the Future - investigate emerging trends and company visions driving current strategic initiatives such as definition of roles and responsibilities, operator recruitment and selection programs, training programs and use of emerging technology.

  • Maintenance and Operations Team Work Processes – identify common problems and best practices through analysis of formal and informal work processes for maintenance and operations team coordination including problem identification, job coordination, planning, equipment preparation, lock-out tag-out procedures, work permitting, and equipment commissioning
